Tee Schneider is a filmmaker, theatre maker, producer, writer, and actor based in Toronto, Canada. As a writer, Tee is a Banff World Media Festival Diversity of Voices recipient, (Avon Calling-2018), a two-time Cayle Chernin Award finalist, (Super Nova – 2021 and North – 2018), a TAWC Short Film Creation Lab finalist, (Little Bird – 2019 *formerly Stay Awhile), and a 2010 Ontario Creator’s Reserve recipient through Nightwood Theatre for her play Kinsky. In 2008 her play, The Shift, premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival, and was later featured as part of Theatre Passe Muraille’s 2010 Buzz Festival. Tee has production credits spanning two decades, including three seasons as co-founder of the Ottawa World Stages Festival, countless stage and live event productions and designs, multiple short films, and the first season of Breakthrough Film’s, Situation Critical– a documentary series filmed in the trauma unit at Sunnybrook and Women’s Hospital. Directing credits include Stephen Massicotte’s, Looking After Eden, Geraldine’s Aron’s Bar and Ger, her short film Little Bird, and her micro short Two V. Hill. Tee is currently developing two television series, several shorts, and a feature film. Her acting credits include Flashpoint, ‘Da Kink in my Hair, This Can Happen To You, Cold Blood, Quarter Life Crisis and Mighty Machines. She has also appeared in national and international television and radio ads and performed in regional theatres in Ottawa, Toronto, and surroundings. Tee is the former co-chair of the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee, a member of ACTRA, CAEA, WIFT-T and the ACCT. She has a BA in Theatre from the University of Ottawa and an MFA in Acting from York University. Tee is represented by Newton Landry Management in Toronto.
