Fionna, a bird-obsessed kid stuck in the foster system fights to keep her home yet again, as an interrupted adoption threatens to break hopeful parents Olivia and Lynn. Foster mom Agnes, and biological mom Madeline battle invisible illnesses and Karen, the caseworker, is the river that runs through it.

Our entire principal cast is female, and 80% of our crew- also female. Beatrice Schneider, the young lead in our film was seven-years-old at the time of filming- she’s now nine-and-a-half and as of this year, an ACTRA Award nominee! You might recognize some of our other extraordinary Canadian cast members from places like The Handmaid’s Tale, Little Mosque on the Prairie, Designated Survivor and Working Moms.
